2nd Safety in Design Conference - 19th May 2016 – Melbourne, Australia

IDC Technologies hosted the 2nd Safety in Design Conference on the 19th May 2016 in Melbourne, Australia. The event aimed to discuss the issues involved in Safety in Design and to help reduce the number of safety incidents through pre-emptive design. The event covered hazard identification and risk assessment methods early in the design process to eliminate or minimise safety risks.

6th Safety Control Systems Conference – Melbourne, Australia 2016

The 6th Safety Control Systems Conference was held on the 18th May 2016 in Melbourne, Australia. The event featured ten presentations from industry professionals, all of whom come from various technical backgrounds. These presenters came from a range of companies such as; Schneider Electric, NHP, I & E Systems, TUV Rheinland, Siemens, and more.

The event had a strong focus around the new second edition of the IEC 61511, IEC 61508, AS 4024, and cyber security.

2nd Dangerous Goods Conference - Perth, Australia

IDC Technologies was excited to host the 2nd Dangerous Goods Conference in Perth, Australia on March 23 & 24. The primary aim of this conference was to explore the variety of dangerous goods incidents that occur locally and nationwide every year and to provide practices and strategies to prevent accidents and reduce the overall number of incidents.

Lithium Batteries Production in China

Lithium – What is it?

Lithium batteries are commonly used in consumer electronics but the global interest in lithium batteries of late has generated state-of-the-art breakthroughs in lithium battery technology opening up new markets and applications. The trend seems to be moving away from traditional lead acid batteries in favour of lightweight lithium based batteries. The technology is developing so quickly that Standards Australia has recently announced it is forming working groups to update the current standards in relation to energy storage.
